Brad
Pics
It's really been too long since we last posted pics of Brad. So
last night at Monte we snapped these. We also shot some pics for
Project M16. We're not gonna give away just yet what Project M16
is but what we can tell you is Project M16 is coming...

It's no secret Brad knows how to boost. Here he does so but with
a red tinted lookback.

Same move, untinted and from a butt admiring point of view.

This photo just looked cool and proves that Brad's bike is in fact
radio controlled. We shot this with NASA's latest probing infra
red photom beam camera. Oh yeah and Brad's doing that table opposite.

Festival
Session
This afternoon Tyrone, Greg, Justin Lopes and Devin Toselli went
for a session at Festival Mall. The session was so good they ended
up forgetting to take pics until it was closing time. Luckily Greg
managed to snap this one of Tyrone trying out some table 3's over
the spine after the session had officially ended.

WTP
Complete Bikes back in stock
For a while it looked like Wethepeople was not going to be available
in SA anymore but that's all changed and we now have a few completes
back in stock.

We have four different models in stock and they vary in size, colour
and price. We have posted all the specs in the complete
bikes section.

Here they are built up and on the floor.

Same thing just from another angle.

As you can see we have a really good selection of completes at
the moment. From high end to entry level we pretty much have anything
you could want. So if you've been wanting a new bike or looking
at getting started come see us. We'll help you choose the right
one and getting you rolling in no time.

New
Odyssey Goods
We have a huge top up of some your favourite Odyssey products plus
some new much anticipated goods arriving tomorrow. Check below then
give us a call or email
if you wanna book yours today.

First up we have the highly hyped Twisted PC Pedals. These beauties
are light, cheap and durable. Everything you could want from a peddal.
Stephen Savage has been running them and now swears by them.

Also back in stock will be the hugely popular Lumberjack Bars.
8 1/4" rise. Big bars are so hot right now. We honestly can't
keep enough stock of these, so if you want one we'd suggest booking
them. These are gonna move.

Here's another new product, Par Ends. These barends are super light
weight and are made from plastic. Not the cheap crappy kind that
explodes into thousands of pieces like the one's that usually come
with grips. No, these are a special compound that are highly durable.
They won't be hard to spot in the shop either. Just look for a giant
gold capped shotgun shell.

More Linear Cables, Monolevers and Gyro Cables

As well as limited edition Bronze Evo 2 Brakes

We're also getting the Classic Stem's as well. They are available
in black with a 52mm reach. These ones have internally machined
to cut out some weight yet still keep the classic look they are
known for.

There'll be some more of the lightest and strongest cranks we sell,
Wombolts.

13t freewheels will be available in RHD and LHD

And finally more Hazard Lite rims. Finished off in a hard anodized
black finish these rims brake just as good as chrome ones. They
are also light and really strong which is what makes them a favourite
to most.

Thrashers
On Saturday Greg and Brad made a mission to Pretoria to ride Thrashers
Skatepark. Thrashers, for those who don't know, was one of the first
bike friendly skateparks in SA and pretty much always means a good
time.

This is one of Brad's warming up stretches. Brad always stretches
before a hard ride. They say it's good for you. It helps get the
blood flowing and prevents cramps later on in the workout. Brad
has some pretty unorthodox methods when it comes to workouts though.

Once he's warmed up Brad knows how to fly. Here's a table on one
of the funnest "vert" ramps.

Greg came back from Europe with turndown fakies in his arsenal
of tricks and, damn, does he know how to tweak them.

BLOODSHOTINK's Denton and Rory Welgemoed were there on the day
as well. Here's Rory with a manual on a not so stable round rail.
Project M16 is coming!!

Greg
Shmeg
There really hasn't been much news to report on but you will notice
that the products page is finally coming along. That's because Tyrone
no longer has a full time job and is taking on the site with full
force. Well in between some much needed riding that is. Not having
a job also means he gets to go shoot photos like this...

"Greg never wanted this posted as he thinks the trick is lame
but screw that, look how rad the colours are. Call me artsy or emo
but I dig it" - Tyrone

Tim's
Tierra
Man, shit has been so chronic lately that we've hardly had time
to do some decent updates. That all changes right here though.
When the new fly stuff arrived a short while back,
Mr Dell.icious was quick to snap up a 21" Tierra frame for himself.
There is so much hype around these frames that we couldn't wait
to see how the new ride looked and rode. Tim assures us this is
his best ride to date and reckons he hasn't had a bike that manuals
as easy. When the specs are available we will post them but what
we can tell you is that this bike has some serious technology in
it and is lighter than f@#k...

Chris's
Federal
Then we have this custom bike that was built up for Chris Kakese.
This style of taking the parts package off of completes and applying
them to the high end frames we have on sale is becoming quite popular
and for good reason. Chris did add a few extra bits though but look
how awesome this bike turned out.

Reiche
Treat
Time for this weeks Reiche treat, well this time the photo was snapped
by Clemi but on Wayne's camera. This is Gum Trails and if you don't
know Gum Trails then you don't know nothing. Looks like the place
is just getting better and better and with it being spring you can
expect to see a lot more from Wayne and Gum Sessions.

We haven't posted it yet but Wayne has a blog where he posts a
lot of his pics and shares his thoughts. It's dope, go check it
out.

BMX
Grand Nationals
This past weekend was the SA Grand Nationals at Kempton Park. [R]evolution
/ Empire had a stand up there and The Riot went along to help them
out and watch some intense racing action. Big news on the day was
the announcing of South Africa being awarded the rights to host
the 2010 UCI Racing World Champs which will be held in Pietermaritzburg.

It has been a while since we were last at a Nationals and judging
by the past weekend you can expect to see us at a lot more. There
was such a good atmosphere, cheap beer, lots of girls and not to
mention some pretty damn exciting racing too.

In the elite class USA GT riders Joey Bradford and Randy Stumpfhauser
were competing against all our local boys including Sifiso "Skizo"
Nhlapo. Skizo was on deadly form the whole weekend and walked away
with both wins on Saturday.

On Sunday's main Skizo got the wholeshot but his lead was not to
last. Randy Stumpfhauser waiting for the right opportunity found
the pace and gap he needed to pass Skizo but then in a twist of
events came Joey Bradford out of nowhere, to pull ahead and take
the victory.

This was racing at it's best. Check out www.bmxsa.co.za
for more.
