Just a reminder that the Missing Link comp
is happening this Saturday 28 March. The shop will be closed on
the day because we will all be there. If you need anything for the
comp give me a call and I will bring it through no problem. Here
is the flyer.
If you stay around the Ranburg area and you need a lift or you not
sure how to get there, meet us at Brightwater Commons (skatepark
antrance) at 7:45am. Make sure you call before if you need a lift.
Some guys have already arrived in town. Colin, Buddy, and Stuart
have been chilling with us for the last few days and destroying
all the local parks. Apparently there even a group of Port Elizibeth
locals coming up for the comp! Prepare for an awesome comp and general
wild and loose behaviour.
There will be Riot shirts available on the day for R150. They come
in small, medium, large, and Xlarge.
See ya'll on Saturday!

My Culture Magazine is putting on a comp
on 18-19 April at Hartebeespoort Holiday Resort. There are going

of awesome prizes, including some from The Riot and the Pro's will
be fighting for CA$H! The BMX side of things happens on Saturday

This is going to be more than your average comp as there will be
bands playing and a big party going down I'm sure... Imagine a mini

Pro-X
Video 2
In other news, here is a 2nd video of the
BMX at Pro-X Extreme Games....Enjoy!
WOW! The Boogaloos "Back 2 Back"
comp went down a treat! The turnout was super impressive, and it
was great to see so many new faces. The regulars were also out in
full force, and some of the "pro" riders were there too
and helped out with the judging and commentary etc. The scene is
alive and well!
On to the comp... The comp was split up into two categories: under
16 and open.
There were definately few stand out riders in the under 16 class,
this was the first comp for most of them and they all rode well.
This is Mathew, he had some awesome tricks including a 180 over
the spine which sent him home with The Riot prize for the under
16 class.
Bradley with a huge tyre grab out the bowl.
In the prizes.... 1st Steven (left), 2nd Bradley (right), 3rd Kyle
(middle)
Kyle definately rode the fastest in this class and had awesome
lines in the bowl. Bradley charged around the park and stuck a 180
and a 360 down the stairs. Steven was the clear winner with tricks
on almost every obstacle! He big 360's, smooth lines and stylish
tables.
On with the show...
In the open class Byrone stood out for his creativity and his bangers,
he did'nt manage to land everything and this left out of the top
3... He walked away with The Riot prize in the open class.
Justin Shepperson trying his best to do the splits!
Ray Malinga, huge no hander!
On the podium... Tie 3rd Wesley (left) and Konstant (middle left),
2nd Justin Shepperson (right), 1st Ray Malinga (middle right)
Wesley rode like a true local, busting all his regular stylish
tricks bigger and better than ever. Konstant destryed the box and
did the hugest grizz air. Justin had an amazing energy throughout
both his runs and landed most of his tricks dialed and back to back.
He also tried a massive gap which was really funny! But at the end
of the day Ray Malinga was the clear winner. He did trick after
trick after trick and spun the crowd into a frenzy! The only thing
he didn't stick first try was a corner 540... but of course he got
up and pulled!
Here is a short video of the comp. For more photos of the event
check The
Riot Facebook group.
Overall it was an awesome day, and there were tons of riders there.
From this events turnout, we can expect great things from the Missing
Link comp that's happening later this month. A huge thanks must
go ut to Boot (aka Sean) from Boogaloos for organising such a rad
event!
