We've been holding out on this news for a little while but it seems like it's getting really close to production. Salvo is a Bike company coming out Cape Town and there first frames are looking hot as hell. Riot team rider Malcolm Peters is getting a signature frame through them... I can't be certain about this but I'm pretty sure Malcolm is the first BMX rider from South Africa to get a signature frame. Congrats Moe! Here's a pic of the bikes and some specs on Malcolm frame.
Malcolm should be testing the prototype from the end of this month.
"This will also be available in brakeless option and they have made accomodation for fat tyres.
The frame will be made from Aircraft grade 4130 chromoly and welded up with an aerospace welder using only the best grade of welding wire and of course it will be post weld heat treated to make sure we have a strong and well balanced frame."
As soon as Malcolm gets the frame I'm sure we'll have some pics up for you.
Savage Riot Web video
Wayne and Savage have been going on all sorts of mad missions to get clips for The Riot video. Wayne put this together for us with the clips Savage won't be using for the video. Thanks Wayne, thanks Savage.
UK Tripping
Greg went over to the UK a few weeks ago for Ride UK BMX Magazines Ride to Glory. The trip was only a week long but when it was done Colin and Tim joined Greg over there to travel around and film for The Riot video. So far they have been to Basingstoke, Liverpool, and Newcastle. From Newcastle they head to London for a week and then back home. Here's a few pics they've snapped so far.
In the train on the way to Liverpool with a few beers to make the journey a little more interesting.

07 May 2010 Web edit happiness
We promised two more videos, and here you have them... the first
one is the Green ramp edit. Last month, Greg posted pics of a Green
ramp sesh, here.
Here's the motion picture version:
This past weekend saw some awesome trails
action at Dirtopia down in the Cape. Dirtopia is a MTB festival
that's been going on for the past ten years, it's an awesome weekend
of camping, chilling, and tons of bicycle riding. From cross-country
enduro's & night rides to a free ride comp, trials, a downhill
race and three days of BMX trails sessions! It's an amazing eventm,
and worth the time and money getting from JHB all the way down there!
Be there next year!
Since pretty much the beginning of Dirtopia,
Wayne Reiche and co. have been called in to build the dirt setup.
As per usual, the boys did a stella job, and provided an awesome
set of jumps! Much respect to Wayne, Harold, Kenneth, Jason, Savage
and whoever helped them! Watch the edit below, and see the pics
to get an idea of how rad it is! There was no comp, just pure trail
shredding!
Thanks to Colin for getting this edit done
before he left for UK, and thanks to Wayne, Colin, & Savage
for filming.

Wayne, backflip's good for you
On Friday, before anyone was really even there yet, Wayne was already
firing big stuff! On Saturday, he got straight back into it and
after a few runs he through down this fronty... that went wrong!
He ejected and landed on his back, his head was flung back and it
hit the ground really hard. Wayne took a few falls that morning
already, and some the day before. He didn't get up immediately,
but Wayne has taken many hard hits and so nobody panicked. But after
a short while, he was still down, Colin went up to him and his eyes
were rolled back... he was knocked out for a short bit! He was stretchered
off by the medics, and later went to hospital to get x-ray'd and
checked out. His last FB status update sums it up "Finally
Home from Dirtopia!!! Thanks for all the well wishes. If you wondering,
I just have a broken coccyx, a severely bruised bum and ribs, Sprained
wrist and a slightly tender right side of my face. Party this weekend!!!!
:)" The dude is more than Ford tough!
Malcolm Peters with a big nose dive three. Moe, where were you
on Sunday?!
